Welcome to the Old Salem museums!
Old Salem and its affiliated museums are located just south of the main downtown area of the city of Winston-Salem. The restoration of the 1766 Protestant Moravian church town of craftspeople, now operated as a living-history town, began in 1950. Also located in the historic district are the Museum of Early Southern Decorative Arts (also known as MESDA), the Old Salem Children's Museum (ages 4-9), and the Old Salem Toy Museum.

The Market-Fire House sits on Salem Square opposite the Single Brothers House.
