We invite you to visit and consider joining our service club.
Who we are...
Kiwanis is an international service organization founded in 1915. In Kernersville, we were established in 1988. Our primary purpose is to serve the needs of nonprofit groups, organizations, and schools in the Kernersville area. 95% of the money we raise stays in Kernersville.

We have about the same number of male and female members. Most of our members are between 30 and 50 years of age and from various businesses and professions. A few of us are retired, but still very active. We are a very diverse group that has come together for the common purpose of making our community a great place to live and work.

What we do...
We help support and contribute to numerous nonprofit agencies and services in Kernersville, including: Kernersville Public Library, Crisis Control Ministries, Kernersville Family YMCA, Next step Ministries, Kernersville Police Department's Summer Camp for Kids, and the Shepherd's Center - just to name a few.

We fund the Sedge Garden Elementry School science lab and sponsor their Terrific Kids program.
We sponsor the Glenn High School Key Club, a high school service club whose student members contribute their time to school and community projects.
How we do it...
Just like you, we have a lot of other commitments to family and work, so we have just a few fund raisers a year, including a food booth during Spring Folly and a benefit golf tournament in June.
We ask that each of our members to participate in at least one fund raiser and attend 80% of our meetings during the year.
Interested in learning more about us?
Visit one of our lunch meetings as our guest. We meet every Wednesday, 12 noon, at Captain Tom's Seafood Restaurant, Highway 66, between I40 & B40 Kernersville.
