Green Street Church is a United Methodist congregation "on the grow." We celebrate the diversity of our human family by actively welcoming people from a variety of racial, economic, and cultural backgrounds. It is our hope to be a warm, open, and inclusive community of faith--A CHURCH FOR ALL GOD'S CHILDREN. We see ourselves as disciples of Jesus, called to follow His example in reaching out with love.

In 2005, our Sanctuary Cross was constructed from the poles used for the tent revival west of Salem in 1902. Our church was formed from that outreach. The church family considers this continuity as a symbolic witness to God's work throughout changes in our community and its healthy diversity.

Binding and dedication of the tent-pole cross.
